In this blog post, in stead of doing a reflection i am going to do a post on my fist week of term 3 in emojis. I will share with you 3 emojis that I have selected, then explain why i chose them.  ENJOY!



😴 I chose this tied emoji , to express how I felt when I got back to school. I felt a bit tied when I got back to school. I did not get much sleep but at let I had a bit more energy  to finish the school day.






😎 I chose this emoji, to express how I felt on the next day of school. This time I chose the cool emoji because I felt amazing when I got back school. so I had a amazing day!




👌🏾I chose this emoji because the first week back was great we had jump jam, learning about Greece and math. I hope next week is going to be amazing.

The first literacy circle!

At school we had our first literacy circle meeting!

What is a literacy circle?

A literacy circle is a group of kids or adults reading a book or a comic and have jobs (not real jobs,tasks).

what are the jobs? 

• illustrator
• discussion director
• word master
• passage picker
• summarise
• connector

The first literacy circle:

One ordinary day at primary school we had our first literacy circle.

Our book that we where reading was called Sunken forest , by an author called Des Hunt. Des hunt was an New Zealand author he loved to write books  about New Zealand and there natural phenomena.

Mrs Person our literacy learning coach (teacher), we got called to do our literacy meeting , so went into a small room and started our meeting. "alright, lets begin of literacy circle meeting" explained Mrs Person . 

Sunken forest you can go first, "Katherine" , what was your job" said Mrs Person. "My job was the illustrator and I drew a picture and why I chose to draw this picture". 

When I finished sharing my literacy circle job every one in my group shared their job/task we then have a reflection on what went well and what could be better every one have lots of positive's and not many negative's. 

I think the first literacy circle meeting went exquisite!!!, it was awesome we all had different Apennines on the book.
